What is a dump in motion?Dump in Motion is a method for spreading gravel and stone while driving slow. This method is typically completed using our small and regular size dump trucks. We do not have Dump in Motion for super dumps, side dumps or end dump trailers. Please note that Dump in Motion can be dangerous if the ground is not level or soft. The driver has the final say regarding the safety and ability to complete a Dump in Motion. Give us a call for more information.

What are the benefits of washed vs. screened decorative rock?Washing decorative rock removes the dirt and organic materials left behind by most crushing and screening processes. Dirt fines in decorative rock provides a growing media for weeds. Washing rock after screening is the best way to limit unwanted growth to keep your planters free of organics. Please note that it is normal to receive some dirt in non-washed decorative rock.

GRT can load your truck in our yard. How much can my truck hold?Truck Types: • Half-ton short-bed and long-bed pickups: 1,000 lbs. • Three-quarter-ton pickup: 2,000 lbs.•Two-ton pickup: 3,500 lbs. Please note: • Rock products on average weigh 2,000-2,700 lbs. per cubic yard. • Bark and mulch products on average weight 300 lbs. per cubic yard. • Sand products on average weigh 2,400 lbs. per cubic yard. * Product weights are subject to change.
